Role Description The AWS Instructor (Weekdays) will deliver high-quality, instructor-led training on Amazon Web Services to learners at different skill levels in an on-site, full-time role based in Lagos. Responsibilities include planning and delivering structured lessons, labs, and demonstrations that cover core AWS services, architecture, security, and best practices. The instructor will develop and update course materials, slide decks, assignments, and assessments to align with current AWS certifications and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks also include mentoring learners, providing feedback on projects, tracking progress, and supporting exam preparation. The role involves collaborating with other instructors and academic staff to ensure consistent training quality and contributing to continuous improvement of the curriculum.
Qualifications
Strong practical experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM) and cloud architecture best practices.
Familiarity with DevOps and related tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code with CloudFormation or Terraform, monitoring, and logging).
Experience designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions in production environments.
Prior teaching, training, mentoring, or coaching experience, ideally in cloud computing or related technical fields.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to learners with diverse backgrounds.
Strong organizational and time management abilities to plan classes, manage course timelines, and assess learner progress.
Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
