Role Description:
DLE is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer for a full-time, on-site role located in Lagos State, Nigeria. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for both front-end and back-end operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust systems that support the company’s logistics and delivery operations. Responsibilities include implementing user-facing features, optimizing system performance, and ensuring seamless integration between client-side and server-side components.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and maintain web applications (front-end and back-end)
Design user interactions using modern front-end frameworks
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Develop and manage APIs and databases
Ensure application responsiveness and performance
Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software
Implement security and data protection measures
Write technical documentation
Requirements:
Candidates with experience in the following will be preferred:
- Backend: PHP 8.3+ with a custom modular architecture with selected libraries like nikic/fast-route, php-di/php-di, symfony/console, symfony/http-foundation, and nyholm/psr7.
- Frontend: JavaScript assets, plus Sass for CSS and Babel for JS transpilation and Bootstrap CSS Framework
- Database: MySQL/MariaDB
- Cache, queue, real-time: Redis
- Testing and quality: PHPUnit, Jest with jsdom, PHP_CodeSniffer, PHP CS Fixer, Slevomat, and Mockery.
- Observability and integrations: Monolog, Sentry, Prometheus, plus libraries like Guzzle, AWS SDK, PHPMailer, PhpSpreadsheet, PhpWord, Dompdf, FPDF/FPDI, GeoIP2, IMAP, QR code, and Rubix ML.Workdays
