About the Role
HQTS India is looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Hard Goods & Soft Goods Inspection Engineer to conduct product inspections, quality assessments, and compliance verification for a wide range of consumer products. The ideal candidate will ensure products meet customer specifications, international standards, and company quality requirements throughout the manufacturing and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform Pre-Production Inspection (PPI), During Production Inspection (DPI), Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI), and Container Loading Supervision (CLS).
Inspect hard goods including furniture, household products, kitchenware, toys, hardware, promotional items, and consumer products.
Inspect soft goods including garments, footwear, bags, textiles, home furnishings, and accessories.
Conduct visual, dimensional, functional, workmanship, labelling, and packaging inspections.
Apply AQL sampling methodology during inspections.
Identify quality defects, prepare NCRs, and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Verify compliance with customer specifications, technical drawings, and international quality standards.
Witness product testing and review laboratory reports and certification documents.
Prepare professional inspection reports with photographs and observations.
Coordinate with factories, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve quality issues.
Support supplier audits and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Textile Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
3 -5 years of experience in product inspection or quality assurance.
Experience in Hard Goods and Soft Goods Inspection preferred.
Good knowledge of AQL, ISO 9001, quality control processes, and international inspection standards.
Ability to read technical drawings and product specifications.
Proficient in inspection instruments and Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
Willingness to travel extensively to factories and supplier locations.

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
Product Inspection or Textile Inspection Certifications
