Business Operations Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Business Operations ManagementOversee the day-to-day operations of the business across production, sales, logistics, importation, exportation, and administrationEnsure smooth coordination between production, inventory, procurement, distribution, and international trade operationsDevelop operational structures and processes to improve efficiency and productivityMonitor operational performance and implement corrective actions where necessary2. Strategic Planning & Business GrowthDevelop and execute business strategies to support revenue growth, market expansion, and operational sustainabilityIdentify new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels locally and internationallyDrive initiatives to increase market share, customer base, and brand visibilitySupport the development of short-term and long-term business plans3. Production & Supply Chain OversightWork closely with the production team to ensure efficient manufacturing processesMonitor inventory levels, raw material availability, and supply chain efficiencyEnsure timely procurement and proper stock managementMinimize production delays, wastage, and operational inefficiencies4. Import & Export Operations ManagementOversee import and export activities to ensure smooth international trade operationsCoordinate shipment schedules, customs clearance, documentation, and logistics processesEnsure compliance with import/export regulations, trade policies, and international standardsManage relationships with freight forwarders, customs agents, shipping companies, and international suppliersMonitor international market trends and identify opportunities for expansion into new marketsEnsure proper documentation for all import and export transactions5. Sales & Revenue ManagementOversee sales operations and ensure achievement of revenue targetsMonitor product performance and market demand trendsSupport the sales and marketing teams in developing promotional and pricing strategiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, corporate clients, and international partners6. Financial Oversight & Cost ControlMonitor operational expenses and profitability across local and international operationsSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processesEnsure efficient utilization of company resourcesWork with the finance team to improve cash flow and cost managementMonitor import/export costs, duties, shipping expenses, and foreign transactions7. Team Leadership & Performance ManagementLead and supervise departmental managers and operational teamsSet performance expectations and monitor productivityPromote accountability, discipline, and teamwork across the organizationSupport staff development, coaching, and training initiatives8. Quality Control & ComplianceEnsure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standardsMaintain adherence to company policies and operational proceduresMonitor hygiene, health, and safety practices within the production environmentEnsure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements for food production and trade9. Customer & Stakeholder ManagementMaintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, suppliers, distributors, and business partnersAddress operational and customer-related issues promptlyEnsure high levels of customer satisfaction and service deliveryBuild and maintain relationships with international trade partners and agencies10. Reporting & Business AnalysisPrepare regular operational and performance reports for managementAnalyze business performance data and recommend improvementsTrack KPIs across production, sales, operations, logistics, and profitabilityProvide reports on import/export activities, market expansion, and operational efficiencyKEY REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, International Business, Food Science, or related fieldMinimum of 6–10 years’ experience in operations, business management, food production, or import/export operationsStrong understanding of food production, supply chain management, and international trade processesExperience managing import and export documentation, logistics, and compliance requirementsStrong commercial, analytical, and leadership skillsKnowledge of Nigerian and international trade regulations is an advantageLocation: OpebiRemuneration: 500,000-800,000Pay: ₦500,000.00 - ₦800,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
