Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Business Operations Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business across production, sales, logistics, importation, exportation, and administration

  • Ensure smooth coordination between production, inventory, procurement, distribution, and international trade operations

  • Develop operational structures and processes to improve efficiency and productivity

  • Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions where necessary

2. Strategic Planning & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute business strategies to support revenue growth, market expansion, and operational sustainability

  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels locally and internationally

  • Drive initiatives to increase market share, customer base, and brand visibility

  • Support the development of short-term and long-term business plans

3. Production & Supply Chain Oversight

  • Work closely with the production team to ensure efficient manufacturing processes

  • Monitor inventory levels, raw material availability, and supply chain efficiency

  • Ensure timely procurement and proper stock management

  • Minimize production delays, wastage, and operational inefficiencies

4. Import & Export Operations Management

  • Oversee import and export activities to ensure smooth international trade operations

  • Coordinate shipment schedules, customs clearance, documentation, and logistics processes

  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, trade policies, and international standards

  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs agents, shipping companies, and international suppliers

  • Monitor international market trends and identify opportunities for expansion into new markets

  • Ensure proper documentation for all import and export transactions

5. Sales & Revenue Management

  • Oversee sales operations and ensure achievement of revenue targets

  • Monitor product performance and market demand trends

  • Support the sales and marketing teams in developing promotional and pricing strategies

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, corporate clients, and international partners

6. Financial Oversight & Cost Control

  • Monitor operational expenses and profitability across local and international operations

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

  • Ensure efficient utilization of company resources

  • Work with the finance team to improve cash flow and cost management

  • Monitor import/export costs, duties, shipping expenses, and foreign transactions

7. Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead and supervise departmental managers and operational teams

  • Set performance expectations and monitor productivity

  • Promote accountability, discipline, and teamwork across the organization

  • Support staff development, coaching, and training initiatives

8. Quality Control & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards

  • Maintain adherence to company policies and operational procedures

  • Monitor hygiene, health, and safety practices within the production environment

  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements for food production and trade

9. Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, suppliers, distributors, and business partners

  • Address operational and customer-related issues promptly

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery

  • Build and maintain relationships with international trade partners and agencies

10. Reporting & Business Analysis

  • Prepare regular operational and performance reports for management

  • Analyze business performance data and recommend improvements

  • Track KPIs across production, sales, operations, logistics, and profitability

  • Provide reports on import/export activities, market expansion, and operational efficiency

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, International Business, Food Science, or related field

  • Minimum of 6–10 years’ experience in operations, business management, food production, or import/export operations

  • Strong understanding of food production, supply chain management, and international trade processes

  • Experience managing import and export documentation, logistics, and compliance requirements

  • Strong commercial, analytical, and leadership skills

  • Knowledge of Nigerian and international trade regulations is an advantage

Location: Opebi
Remuneration: 500,000-800,000

Pay: ₦500,000.00 - ₦800,000.00 per month
