Business Development Engineer: Manufacturing Solutions

Role & responsibilities

• Visit manufacturing companies, OEMs, and channel partners across the assigned territory.

• Identify machining, workholding, fixturing, and probing opportunities at customer sites.

• Build relationships with Production, Manufacturing, Process, and Purchase teams.

• Understand customer applications and collect component drawings and machining details.

• Coordinate with the internal Design & Application team to develop technical solutions.

• Prepare and present technical proposals to customers.

• Follow up on quotations, trials, and ongoing projects.

• Develop existing customer accounts through cross-selling and horizontal deployment.

• Maintain customer visit reports, opportunity pipeline, and weekly activity updates.

• Work closely with senior management for commercial discussions and order closure.

Preferred candidate profile

• 35 years of experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing solutions.

• Good understanding of CNC machining, workholding, jig & fixture concepts, or cutting tools.

• Experience interacting with manufacturing, production, or process engineers.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand machining applications.

• Strong customer relationship and communication skills.

• Experience in business development, technical support, or application engineering is preferred.

• Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory.

• Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
