Supply Chain and Procurement Specialist
Job Description
TCPO (Tekkas Certified Preowned) is building a trusted device ecosystem focused on delivering affordable, high-quality smartphones and electronics to African consumers. We are building toward a scalable procurement, certification, and distribution operation capable of supporting different sales channels. We are looking for a highly execution-oriented Supply Chain and Procurement Specialist to own and coordinate the supply-side operations of TCPO.
Responsibilities:
Supplier Discovery and Vendor Management:
Discover and onboard device suppliers locally and internationally
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers across global regions
Compare vendors based on pricing, quality, reliability, and turnaround time
Maintain supplier databases and procurement records
Procurement and Negotiation:
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQ, warranties, and delivery timelines
Coordinate procurement activities for smartphones, accessories, spare parts, and related inventory
Ensure products meet TCPO quality and certification requirements
Reduce procurement costs while maintaining quality standards
Importation and Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders and logistics partners
Track shipments and ensure timely delivery
Assist with customs clearing and import documentation coordination
Resolve shipment delays and logistics-related operational issues
Supply Operations:
Monitor inventory movement and procurement needs
Coordinate with operations, sales, and finance teams
Support inventory forecasting and replenishment planning
Ensure smooth operational flow from supplier to warehouse
Reporting and Process Management:
Prepare procurement reports, pricing comparisons, and landed cost analyses
Maintain organised procurement and logistics documentation
Help improve procurement and supply chain processes over time
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, importation, logistics, vendor management, or related operational roles
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Strong organisational and follow-through ability
Ability to independently manage multiple moving parts
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
Ability to work with suppliers across different countries and time zones
Experience in smartphone, electronics, or device-related procurement
Experience with importation into Nigeria
Existing supplier or logistics network is a strong advantage
Familiarity with Computer Village or electronics distribution ecosystems
Experience working with international suppliers is a major advantage
